SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/DHC-1/29 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Amdt 2

Tailplane Attachment Fittings 13/2003

Applicability: All DHC-1 aircraft.

Requirement: Action in accordance with British Aerospace Technical News Sheet CT (C1) No.176 Issue 2.

Note: UK CAA AD 014-11-97 refers.

Compliance: As specified in the Requirement document.

This Amendment becomes effective on 25 December 2003.

Background: The tailplane attachment fittings are lifed items, but in most cases the history of the installed fittings was not known. This Directive required an inspection within 3 months, then replacement of all fittings with C1.TP.313 fittings within 15 months. A TNS amendment dated 28 May 1986 increased the fitting life from 6240 hours to 9984 hours.

Amendment 2 is issued to update the Requirement document to the current issue.
