Amdt 2


Undercarriage Strut - Inspection 11/71

 

Applicability: All models fitted with undercarriage body struts P/N AH46256A, 42656, AH42657 or 42657.

 

Requirement: 1. Clean and polish the struts at the weld areas and immediately adjacent thereto.

Subject the polished areas to magnetic particle inspection. (See Figure 1 - Page 2).

 

2.    Any doubt as to the acceptance or rejection of the strut as a result of this inspection is to be referred to the Regional Office of the Department for determination.

 

3.    Replace any strut which is found to be defective; or DCA/DH84/2A.

Compliance: Within 500 hours time in service from the last inspection and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 500 hours time in service.
