DH 82 (Tiger Moth) Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/DH 82/1 Undercarriage Strut - Modification NK

Applicability: All models.

 

Requirement: 1. Replace the lower fork end fitting P/N 45491 and DHA 2185 with a steel fitting in accordance with Figure 3 of this Directive, or with steel fitting P/N DHA 2195 obtainable from De Havilland Aircraft Pty. Ltd., Bankstown, New South Wales.

 

2.    Modify the lower fork bolt P/N H24060 in accordance with Figure 4 of this Directive.

 

3.    Attach this fitting to the centre tube with 3/16 in. diameter rivets of BSS S2 material in accordance with Figure 1 of this Directive.

 

4.    Replace the rivets attaching the upper retaining sleeve P/N 62814 with rivets of BSS S2 material.

 

5.    To prevent the moving portion of the landing gear from becoming disengaged from the fixed portion in the event of failure of the rivets attaching the retaining sleeve to the centre tube, install a check cable in accordance with Figure 2 of this Directive; or

 

6. ANO 105.1.14.5.5.1.
