AD/CON/69 Incorrect Connecting Rods 1/94 DM
Applicability: Teledyne Continental Motors (TCM) O-200A, O-300A, O-300C and O-300D engines as listed by serial number in FAA Airworthiness Directive 93-11-03 (Copy attached).
Note: This Directive is only applicable to engines which were overhauled or rebuilt by TCM. This Directive is not applicable to engines overhauled in Australia, or by organisations other than TCM.
Requirement: In accordance with the procedure detailed in FAA Airworthiness Directive 93-11-03, inspect the engine for evidence of IO-360 series connecting rods being fitted.
Compliance: Effective 1 December 1993: Unless previously accomplished, engines with less than 100 hours time in service; prior to further flight.
Note: TCM and the FAA have determined; engines with incorrect con-rods fitted may fail before 100 hours time in service.
