AD/CL-600/55 Flap Vane System 7/2002

Applicability: Model CL-600-2B16 (CL-604) aircraft, serial numbers 5301 through 5374. Requirement:              Action in accordance with the technical requirements of Transport Canada AD CF-

2000-18.

Compliance: Before 11 August 2002, unless already accomplished.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 11 July 2002.

Background: Corrosion has been detected inside the bore of the inboard flap vane and actuator beam assemblies. As well, non-compliant gaps have been detected between certain vane brackets and the adjacent skin on the inboard flaps.
