Amdt 1

Throttle Quadrant 7/94

Applicability: Model CL-600 aircraft with serial numbers, and with throttle quadrant part numbers listed in the Requirement Document.

Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of Transport Canada AD CF-92-23R1.

Note: Canadair Challenger ASB A600-0615, ASB A601-0374 Revision 1, SB 600-0629, and SB 601-0410 refer.

Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document with a revised effective date of 23 June 1994.

Background: A report had been received of unintentional engine shut-down in flight. This shut- down resulted from the throttle lever overriding the idle stop, during throttle retardation, and moving into the shut-off position. Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the Requirement Document which requires an additional fault detection check and another modification to the aircraft throttle quadrant.
