General Electric Turbine Engines - CF6 Series
AD/CF6/22 Fuel Manifold Inspection and Replacement 10/92
Applicability: CF6-80 C2 Series Engines.
Requirement: Inspect and replace fuel manifolds in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 91-20-02.
Note: General Electric Service Bulletins 73-115 Revision 1 and 73-114 Revision 2 refer.
Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document with an effective date of 17 September 1992.
Background: Inspection and replacement of some fuel manifolds is required to detect and prevent fuel leaks. The FAA AD was prompted by a reported failure of a fuel manifold weld joint. Failure could result in an engine fire.
