Cessna 560 (Citation V) Series Aeroplanes
AD/CESSNA 560/1 Engine Flow Divider Start Valve Diaphragm 13/92

Applicability: Cessna 560 series aircraft fitted with PWC JT15D-5A engines not incorporating Pratt and Whitney Canada Service Bulletin No. 7372.
Requirement: 1. Amend the Aircraft Flight Manual to reflect the requirements of Pratt and Whitney Canada Service Information Letter (SIL) No. 7060 Rev.1, Recommendation: Para. 1.
2. Action in accordance with the requirements of Pratt and Whitney Canada Service Bulletin No. 7371.
Note: Transport Canada Directive CF-92-19 refers.
Compliance: Effective 21 October 1992:
- Before further flight.
2. Within 50 hours time in service, or before 1 December 1992, whichever occurs first.
Background: This Directive has been issued to reflect advice of two uncommanded in-flight engine shut-down events. The events resulted from deterioration of the engine flow divider start valve diaphragm. The Directive requires an amendment to the Aircraft Flight Manual to address a possible in-flight start valve failure event, and a modification of the flow divider to reduce the start valve diaphragm temperature pending the release of a terminating action.
