Cessna 400 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/CESSNA 400/26 Engine Nacelle Wiring - Inspection 7/71

Applicability: Models 401 and 402 with S/Nos. -0001 to 0260 except 401-0218 and 402-0242.

 

Requirement: 1. (a) Visually inspect the insulating material of the electrical wiring, grommets and clamps located in the engine nacelles between the canted bulkhead and the firewall for charred, burnt or heat hardened conditions.

 

  1. (b) Visually inspect the heat shields located in the engine nacelles between the canted bulkhead and the firewall for deterioration or improper installation and/or attachment that could contribute to excessive heat in this area.

 

2.             Modify the engine nacelles in accordance with Cessna SL ME68-17.

 

Compliance: For Para. 1 - Within 100 hours time in service after 30 July 1971 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 100 hours time in service until modified in accordance with para. 2.
