AD/CESSNA 337/19 Bench Seat Back Emergency

Operation and Placard

Applicability: All model T337G.

 

Requirement: 1. Modify the bench seat backrest locking pawl P/No. 1514217-1 to permit the backrest to be pushed forward by the occupant of the rear seat when applying a force of 18 lb. to 22 lb. at the top of the backrest, to a scheme approved by the Secretary.

 

Note: Modification to Rex Aviation Ltd. Drawing No. RA-A-1390 is an acceptable means of compliance.

 

2. Install a placard at the rear of the RH backrest in a position clearly visible to the 5th seat occupant as follows:

 

IN EMERGENCY

 

PUSH CENTRE SEAT BACKRESTS FORWARD.

 

Note: All lettering shall be in white on a black background. Underlined lettering shall be a minimum of 6 mm (1/4") high and other lettering shall be a minimum of 3 mm (1/8") high.
