AD/CESSNA 303/2

Amdt 1


Flight Into Icing Conditions 8/85 DM

 

Applicability: Model T303 with Serial Numbers T30300001 to T30300315 fitted with wing leading edge de-ice boots and propeller de-icing.

 

Requirement: 1.a. Fabricate and install adjacent to the anti-ice system switches the following placard:

 

"FLIGHT INTO KNOWN ICING PROHIBITED"

 

1.b. Insert a copy of FAA AD No. 85-11-05 in the limitation section of the Pilot’s Operating Handbook. Copies of this AD are available from Department of Aviation, Airworthiness Offices.

 

2.a.   Install Rudder Balance Weight Modification Kit, Part No SK303-34 in accordance with Cessna Service Bulletin MEB 85-7.

2.b.  Remove placard and copy of FAA AD specified in Part 1 of this AD. Compliance:              1.              Before further flight after 31 August 1985 until modified in accordance with

Requirement 2.

 

2. Before further flight after 30 November 1985. Background: Ice formation on the fin has been found to cause rudder flutter.
