Amdt 1


Battery Vent System 8/86

 

Applicability: All Cessna Model U206G and TU206G aeroplanes with SCL Turbine PAC power plant converted in accordance with STC SA2353 NM.

 

Requirement: 1. Inspect the battery vent system for kinks or other blockages. Clear the vent system as necessary to provide adequate battery venting.

 

2. Modify the battery vent system according to the requirements of Soloy Conversions Ltd S.B. 06-763.

 

Compliance: For Para 1: Within 5 hours time in service after 21 January 1986. For Para 2: Within 25 hours time in service after 21 January 1986.

Note: The inspection detailed in Para 1 may be accomplished by the pilot-in- command, in which case the precise AD reference shall be entered in a certification made on the Maintenance Release coincident with that for the daily inspection.

 

Background: 1. To prevent battery explosion resulting from ignition of battery vent gases.
