SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Cessna 180, 182 and Wren 460 Series Aeroplanes
AD/CESSNA 180/66 King KFC 200 Flight Control System 10/82
Applicability: Models 182P and 182Q fitted with King KFC 200 flight control systems in accordance with STC SA1296CE.
Requirement: 1. Check the manual electric trim system travel time from full “nose up” to full “nose down” and full “nose down” to full “nose up”. This check should be carried out in accordance with King Installation Bulletin 215 Alert. The time to travel should be 40 + 8 seconds.
2. If the stop to stop time does not fall within 40 + 8 seconds, modify the system in accordance with King Installation Bulletin 215 Alert.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 31 October 1982.
Background: The manufacturer advises that for the system to meet safety requirements in a trim runaway (malfunction) condition, and still perform its intended function, the trim speed must fall within 40 + 8 seconds.
