Cessna 170, 172, F172, FR172 and 175 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/CESSNA 170/43 Fuel Quantity Placarding 9/81

Applicability: Models 172N and 172P with S/Nos. 17272885 to 17274357. Model R172K with S/Nos. R1723200 to R1723403. Model 172RG with S/Nos. 172RG0001 to 172RG0698.

 

Requirement: 1. With reference to Fig. 1, identify the correct fuel tank cover for the aircraft.

 

2.    Inspect the placarding adjacent to the fuel filler openings to verify that the markings agree with the actual tank capacity Fig. 1.

 

3.    Inspect the fuel gauge markings and the placard adjacent to fuel selector valve to verify that the markings agree with the usuable fuel quantities for the tanks installed.

 

4.    Replace any incorrectly marked fuel gauge, fuel selector valve placard or fuel tank filler placard with one compatible with correct fuel tank capacity.
