Pilot’s Safety Harness Inertia Reel - Installation 9/99

 

Applicability: All models.

 

Requirement: Modify the pilot’s shoulder harness installation by removing the harness release lock and attaching the shoulder straps to the aircraft structure through a multi-directional type inertia reel complying with the U.S. Specification MIL-R-8236 or other specification acceptable to the Secretary.

 

Note: Modifications performed in accordance with AD/CA-28/5 satisfy the requirements of this Directive.

 

Compliance: Before 1 July 1968.

 

This Amendment becomes effective on 9 September 1999.
