AD/CASA/23 Aileron Control Rod Movable Joint 9/96
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: Action in accordance with CASA SB 212-27-48.
Note: Spanish DGAC AD 05/96 refers.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 15 August 1996.
Background: Excessive wear has been discovered in the spherical bearings of the aileron command bar at the base of the control column. The wear is the result of inadequate retaining washers, and may result in the displacement of the bearings from their housings.
