Flap Control System 13/89

 

Requirement: Inspect the flap control system in accordance with Casa document COM. 212-206 Revision 1, dated 20 May 1988. The procedures detailed in the C212 Non Destructive Inspection Manual (27-50-01 through 27-50-05) provide acceptable methods for accomplishing the inspections required by this AD.

 

Compliance: Prior to accumulating 20000 flights or within 2000 flights after 5 October 1989, whichever is the later, and thereafter at intervals specified in the Requirement Document.

 

Background:  Damage tolerance analyses have identified elements of the flap control system as potentially critical, and an inspection schedule to provide continued structural integrity beyond the original design life has been produced.
