SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

CAP Aviation (Akrotech and Mudry) CAP 232 Series Aeroplanes

AD/CAP 232/8 Flight Envelope 7/2002 DM

Applicability: All CAP 232 aircraft.

Requirement: Action in accordance with APEX Aircraft Service Bulletin No. 020204, dated 25 February 2002.

Note: DGAC AD 2002-245(A) refers.

Compliance: Before further flight after 22 May 2002, unless already accomplished.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 22 May 2002.

Background: The CAP 232 aircraft empty weight has gradually increased due to added aircraft equipment. As a result, the Type Certificate holder has increased the maximum weight in the Aerobatics category, while decreasing the maximum load factors. Additionally, a correction of maximum speed for abrupt control travel is required in the Aircraft Flight Manual.
