SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
CAP Aviation (Akrotech and Mudry) CAP 232 Series Aeroplanes
AD/CAP 232/4 Engine Mount 7/2001 DM
Applicability: All CAP 232, CAP 231, and CAP 231EX aircraft.
Requirement: Inspect in accordance with CAP Aviation Service Bulletin No. 1 Revision 3, dated 15 September 2000.
Note: DGAC AD 2001-051(A) refers.
Compliance: Within the first 100 aerobatic flight hours on the engine mount.
For aircraft that have accumulated more than 100 flight hours on the engine mount; within 5 aerobatic flight hours on the engine mount after 23 May 2001.
Repeat thereafter at intervals not to exceed 10 aerobatic flights. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 23 May 2001.
Background: The DGAC requires mandatory compliance of an inspection program for the engine mount.
