SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

Skyfox Aviation (Hedaro) CA25 Series Aeroplanes

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CA25/7 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AD/CA25/7

Amdt 1

Aileron Hanger Ribs  9/2000 DM

Applicability: All CA22A/25, CA25 and CA25N aircraft.

Requirement: Inspect and test all aileron hanger rib extensions in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Skyfox Aviation Ltd Service Bulletin No. 24, Initial Issue, dated 27 February 1998.

Compliance: Before further flight after 2 August 2000; thereafter at intervals not to exceed 100 hours or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

This Amendment becomes effective on 2 August 2000.

Background:  During an unscheduled inspection, an aileron hanger rib extension was broken with little downward pressure. The purpose of this Directive was to check the structural integrity of all aircraft in-operation which may be similarly affected.

Amendment 1 is issued in response to a deteriorated aileron hanger rib found on a Skyfox CA25N aircraft that recently suffered an in-flight separation of the right hand aileron. This Directive requires further inspections of the aileron hanger ribs.

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 3 March 1998.
