Tail Rotor Transmission 13/87 DM
Applicability: All model BO 105 helicopters fitted with tail rotor transmission P/N 4619003003 and with S/No as listed in Requirement document.
Requirement: Action in accordance with MBB Alert Service Bulletin No ASB-BO 105-30-101 Rev 1.
Compliance: Within 50 hours time in service after 30 October 1987 and upon installation of affected transmissions on an aircraft after 30 October 1987.
Background: The tail rotor gearbox mounting bracket may be distorted by a raised projection on the transmission housing which may lead to cracking of the transmission mount.
Revision 1 to the SB increases the applicable S/N range.
