Tail Rotor Drive and Fan Drive Bearings 10/86

 

Applicability: All model 47G-2, 47G-2A, 47G-3, 47G-3B, 47G-3B-1, 47G-4, 47G-4A, 47G-5, 47G-

5A, 47J, 47J-2, 47J-2A not modified in accordance with Bell ASB 47-80-6 or Kawasaki-Bell SB KSB-Bell 353.

Document:  Bell Alert Service Bulletin 47-80-6. Kawasaki-Bell S.B. KSB-Bell 353. Compliance:              Before installation on an aircraft following the next 600 hourly inspection after 30

October 1980.

 

Background: To reduce the possibility of failure of the tail rotor drive or fan drive within the main gear box, the manufacturer has introduced an improved bearing.
