Bell Helicopter Textron 412 Series Helicopters

 

AD/BELL 412/17 AM-SAFE Harness Buckle Assemblies 4/87

Applicability: All model 412 with S/No. 33001 to 33134 equipped with:

 

a. AEK - Passenger Seats - Thirteen P/N 412-706-002-101/-103

 

b. AEK - Litter P/N 412-706-006-101/-103

 

c. AEK - 412 CAA VFR Certification P/N 412-705-016-101/-103/-105

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Bell Alert SB 412-87-28.

 

Compliance: Prior to the issue of the next Maintenance Release after 9 April 1987 or within 100 hours time in service after 9 April 1987 whichever is the later.

 

Background:  For a particular batch of components there is a possibility that a connector may become dislodged from the buckle if a side load is placed on the assembly. This Directive also satisfies the Requirement of AD/RES/19.
