Beechcraft 76 (Duchess) Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/BEECH 76/15 Woodward Governor Models L and R 210652 12/83

Applicability: Model 76 with serial numbers ME-1, ME-3 thru ME-395, ME-397, thru ME-404, ME-406, ME-408 thru ME-411, ME-413, ME-414, ME-416, thru ME-419, ME-421, ME-423, ME-425, thru ME-428, ME-430, ME-432 and ME-437.

 

Requirement: Part 1. Check, and adjust if necessary, the propeller unfeathering accumulator air pressure, in accordance with the Beech 76 Maintenance Manual.

 

Part 2. Modify the propeller governor in accordance with Woodward Service Bulletin 33581.

 

Note: Woodward Service Bulletin 33581 and Beech Safety Communique 76-66 refer.

 

Compliance: Part 1. Within 25 hours’ time in service after 21 November 1983 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 25 hours time in service until modified in accordance with Part 2.

 

Part 2. Within 100 hours’ time in service after 21 November 1983 or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 21 November 1983 whichever is the later.

 

Background:  The manufacturer advises the need to periodically check the accumulator air pressure, prior to modifying the propeller governor, to prevent possible propeller unfeathering failure.
