Amdt 1

Ansair Passenger Seats 3/89

Applicability: All Model 65 and 70 equipped with Ansair passenger seats.

Requirement: 1. Inspect passenger seats over the wing spar carry-through location for correct part number G417-00-001.

2. Replace any seat assembly not bearing part number G417-00-001 with an approved seat identified with the correct part number.

Compliance: Within 100 hours’ time in service after 31 March 1986 or at the next scheduled inspection for Maintenance Release issue after 31 March 1986, whichever is the later.

Background: The Department has become aware that Ansair G381 and G396 seats have been modified without appropriate design approval to fit the spar carry-through location. These modified seats will not sustain the 9"g" forward loading requirement.

Amendment 1 consolidates Queen Air series 65 and 70, aircraft.
