Exhaust Augmenter Clamps 3/89
Applicability: All models Queen Air 65 and 70.
Requirement: Inspect the clamps on the main augmenter tubes for security. Pay particular attention to the forward clamp at the rear of the fire-wall, adequate clearance must be present between the two halves of this clamp when fully tightened.
Note: The specified bolts AN4-13A are longer than strictly necessary in order to facilitate installation therefore they must be fitted with the appropriate number of spacing washers and care must be taken to ensure that the nut does not bottom on the thread when fully torqued. The recommended torque values for the clamp nuts are 50- 70 in. lbs. with 100 in. lbs. maximum.
Compliance: Within 100 hours’ time in service after 30 March 1973. Background: Amendment 1 consolidates Queen Air series 65 and 70 aircraft.
