Amdt 1
Applicability: All models.
Main Undercarriage Up-Lock 7/72
Requirement: 1. Modify the LH and RH main landing gear up-lock roller assemblies by fitting a lubricating bolt assembly as detailed in Beechcraft SI No. 0482-211, or by a scheme approved by the Secretary.
2. Inspect the up-lock spring for over extension. Free length (measured inside loops) shall be between 3.70 inches and 3.82 inches; deflected length with a 20 lb. load applied shall be between 6.83 inches and 7.81 inches. Any spring outside these limits shall be discarded.
3. Inspect the up-lock roller for stiction and/or roughness. It is essential that the roller rotates under light finger pressure.
4. Lubricate up-lock roller bearing with grease to Spec MIL-G-23827, Spec MIL-G- 7711A or equivalent.
5. Inspect the up-lock block for alignment in the up-lock bracket, even contour and freedom from corrosion and/or damage.
Compliance: For Para. 1 - Within 100 hours’ time in service or 2 months after 1 March 1972 whichever occurs first.
For Para. 2 - On each occasion the up-lock bracket or spring is removed. For Para. 3 - (a) At any time main wheel bay is washed out.
(b) Before flight when operating from wet, muddy or dusty terrain.
(c) At intervals not exceeding 50 hours’ time in service or 2 months whichever occurs first.
For Para. 4 - (a) At any time main wheel bay is washed out.
(b) At any time stiction and/or roughness is detected in roller.
(c) At intervals not exceeding 50 hours’ time in service or 2 months whichever occurs first.
For Para. 5 - At intervals not exceeding 100 hours’ time in service or 12 months whichever occurs first.
Note: Certification for items 3 and 4 may be made by pilot.

Non-compliance with the provisions of the Civil Aviation Regulations, particularly those outlined in the Airworthiness Directives, can lead to various legal consequences.
