Beechcraft 55, 58 and 95-55 (Baron) Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/BEECH 55/75 Pilot and Copilot Shoulder Harness 12/91

Applicability: Model E55, E55A, with serial numbers TE-1078 through TE-1201.

 

Model 58, 58A, with serial numbers TH-733 through TH-1609. Model 58P, 58PA, with serial numbers TJ-3 through TJ-497.

Model 58TC, 58TCA, with serial numbers TK-1 through TK-151.

 

Model 95-B55, 95-B55A with serial numbers TC-1947 through TC-2456.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with the Technical Requirements of FAA AD 91-18-19, Amdt 39-8022.

 

Note: Beechcraft MSB 2394 refers.

 

Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document with a revised effective date of 12 December 1991 for Australian registered aircraft.

 

Background:  Improper washers may have been installed in the pilot and copilot shoulder harness “D” ring of the affected aircraft. The actions specified in this AD are intended to prevent a malfunctioning shoulder harness that could result in occupant injury during an emergency situation. The effective date required by the FAA is extended by approximately two months.
