Beechcraft 50 (Twin Bonanza) Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/BEECH 50/30 Engine Emergency Placard 9/79

Applicability: All models.

 

Requirement: Inspect emergency engine shutdown procedure placard on overhead or instrument panel for legibility and condition. If defaced or missing, fabricate a new placard using letters of 3mm height and affix to either overhead or instrument panel.

 

Placard to read:

 

EMERGENCY ENGINE SHUTDOWN PROCEDURES

 

  1. MIXTURE CONT-IDLE CUT-OFF

 

2.        FUEL SELECTOR-OFF

 

3.        OIL SHUT-OFF HDL-UP AND LKD

 

4.        PROP CONTROL-FEATHERED

 

5.        THROTTLE-FULLY OPEN

 

6.        BOTH BOOST PUMPS-OFF

 

7.        MAGNETO SWITCH-OFF

 

8.        ALTNTR/GEN SWITCH OFF

 

Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 30 September 1979.

 

Background: As the original engine emergency shutdown procedure decal may have become defaced or be otherwise illegible a more durable placard is to be installed as per a recent FAA requirement.
