Beechcraft 400 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/BEECH 400/5 Main Circuit Breaker Panel 1/94

Applicability: Model 400A aircraft with serials numbers RK-45 and RK-49 through RK-77 inclusive.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Beechcraft Mandatory Service Bulletin 2520 dated August 1993 and Beechcraft Service Communique 400-101 dated July 1993.

 

Note: FAA AD 93-20-01 Amdt 39-8708 refers.

 

Compliance: Within 25 hours time in service from 17 November 1993.

 

Background:  Beechcraft have advised of anomalies in the main circuit breaker panel wiring and that there is a possibility for an electrical short to occur. Compliance with this Directive will decrease the probability of an electrical short causing fire and smoke in the cockpit.
