Requirement: 1. Visually inspect the fasteners securing the stabilator hinge assemblies to the fuselage for looseness or failure in accordance with the requirements of the “Accomplishment Instructions” of Beech SB No 2182.
2. If ANY fasteners are found loose or failed when conducting the inspection required in para 1, replace ALL fasteners securing both left and right hinge assemblies to the fuselage in accordance with Beech SB No 2182 prior to further flight.

Compliance: Prior to further flight after 19 February 1987 and thereafter every 100 hours time in service for aircraft registered in the normal and utility category, and every 25 hours time in service for aircraft registered in the acrobatic category.
Background: There have been reports which show the fasteners used to secure the stabilator hinge assemblies to the fuselage were found to be in a sheared condition. In one case all but one fastener was found to have failed.
