SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

 

British Aerospace BAe 146 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/BAe 146/96 Webs/Flanges of Frames 15, 18, 41, and 43 3/2002

 

Applicability:  All BAe 146 Series 100, 200, and 300 aircraft. All Avro 146-RJ70, -RJ85, and -RJ100 aircraft.

Those aircraft without modifications HCM30514A or C, and B or D incorporated. Requirement:  Inspect in accordance with BAE Systems Mandatory Service Bulletin ISB.53-165. Compliance:   As specified in the Requirement document.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 21 March 2002.

 

Background: Possible ingress of moisture and subsequent corrosion leading to cracking has been discovered at the inner webs/flanges of frame 18.
