SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/B767/78 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Midspar Fuse Pins 4/2003
Applicability: Model 767-200, -300, and -300F series aircraft, as listed in Boeing Alert Service Bulletin767-54A0062 Revision 5, dated 11 November 2002.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 2003-03-02 Amdt 39-13026.
Note: Boeing Alert Service Bulletin 767-54A0062 refers.
Compliance: As specified in the Requirement document, with a revised effective date of 17 April 2003.
This Amendment becomes effective on 17 April 2003.
Background: The FAA received reports of longitudinal cracks on certain midspar fuse pins installed on the affected aircraft. The required actions specified in this Directive are intended to prevent the loss of the strut and engine due to cracking of both fuse pins on the same strut.
Amendment 1 is issued in response to a new FAA AD which was prompted by an operator report of a fractured fuse pin of the left engine pylon, that was found during a scheduled maintenance visit. The fuse pin also had corrosion on the pin and within the bore. This amendment reduces compliance times for certain inspections, expands the detailed and eddy current inspections, limits the AD applicability, and provides for optional terminating action.
The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 13 July 1994.
