AD/B767/41 Leading Edge Slat Drive Mechanism 9/90
Applicability: Model 767 series.
Requirement: Unless already accomplished, action IAW Boeing ASB 767-27A0095 Rev 1.
Note: FAA AD T90-09-51 refers.
Compliance: At the next “A” check inspection period after 30 September 1990.
Background: This AD inspection will ensure the mechanical integrity of the leading edge slat drive systems. Torque tube disconnection or failure, and oil contamination of the no-back brake in the offset gearbox, could result in uncommanded movement of the leading edge slats.
