Emergency Evacuation Slides 3/88

 

Applicability: All Models equipped with emergency evacuation slides detailed in BFG/PICO Service Bulletins 101623/30/51/55/56-25-130.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with BFG/PICO Service Bulletins 101623/30/51/54/55/56-25- 130 R5.

 

Note: FAA AD 86-06-06 refers.

 

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, prior to 15 October 1986 and thereafter in accordance with the requirement document or until compliance with SB 101623/30/51/54/55/56-25-138.

 

Background:  Investigation of the service history of evacuation slide seam separation has indicated early production units warrant special seam inspections. Amdt 1 to this Directive corrects an applicability omission, includes a repetitive inspection requirement and references a BFG/PICO Service Bulletin which is classified as terminating action for this Directive.
