AD/B767/107 Cockpit Wire Bundle Chafing 1/99

Applicability: Model 767 series aeroplanes listed in Boeing Alert Service Bulletin (ASB) 767- 35A0029 dated 30 January 1997.

 

Requirement: 1. Modify the wiring in the vicinity of the captain’s and first officer’s consoles in accordance with either Boeing ASB 767-35A0029 dated 30 January 1997 or Revision 1 dated 25 June 1998.

 

Note: FAA AD 98-23-05 Amdt 39-10869 refers.

 

Compliance: 1. Prior to 1 July 2000

 

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 28 January 1999.

 

Background: AD/B767/86 was issued following advice from the Federal Aviation Administration on reports of chafed wires and minimal clearance between the oxygen connector and adjacent wire bundles in the vicinity of the stowage box for the captain’s oxygen mask.
