Boeing 747 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/B747/89 Flight Compartment Ashtray 4/91

Applicability: Model 747-400 series as listed in Boeing Alert SB 747-25A2862.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with the technical requirements of FAA AD 91-03-16 Amdt 39- 6875.

 

Note: Boeing SB 747-25A 2862 Rev. 1 refers.

 

Compliance: As specified in the Requirement Document but with a revised effectivity date of 18 April 1991 for Australian registered aircraft.

 

Background: The possibility of smoking material falling behind the sidewall lining when the ashtray is either partially opened or closed, has prompted the issue of this AD.
