Boeing 727 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/B727/132 Number Two Cargo Doorway Frames 6/91

Applicability: Model 727 series, listed in Boeing Alert SB 727-53A 0199.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with the Technical Requirements of FAA AD 91-07-11 Amdt 39-6946.

 

Note: Boeing Alert SB 727-53A0199 refers.

 

Compliance: As specified in the Requirement document with a revised effective date of 13 June 1991 for Australian registered aircraft.

 

Background: The FAA has received reports of cracks in the forward and aft frame webs. This condition, if not corrected, could result in failure of the No. 2 cargo doorway frames and depressurisation of the aircraft.
