Aft Section Tail Rotor Drive Shaft Bearing 7/93

 

Applicability: All AS 355 E, F, F1, F2 and N Series helicopters.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Eurocopter Service Bulletin AS 355 No 05-02 Revision 4.

 

Note: DGAC AD 82-078-005(B)R4 refers.

 

Compliance: As specified in the requirement document but with a revised effective date of 30 June 1993.

 

Background:  Due to in service failure the manufacturer has revised the inspection requirements of the drive shaft bearings which has been reflected in the DGAC AD.
