Amdt 1
Aft Section Tail Rotor Drive Shaft Bearing 7/93
Applicability: All AS 355 E, F, F1, F2 and N Series helicopters.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Eurocopter Service Bulletin AS 355 No 05-02 Revision 4.
Note: DGAC AD 82-078-005(B)R4 refers.
Compliance: As specified in the requirement document but with a revised effective date of 30 June 1993.
Background: Due to in service failure the manufacturer has revised the inspection requirements of the drive shaft bearings which has been reflected in the DGAC AD. This amendment raised in sequence to mandate inspection of the drive shaft rubber bearings and to change the requirement document from the DGAC AD to the manufacturers SB.
