SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


Eurocopter AS 355 (Twin Ecureuil) Series Helicopters

 

AD/AS 355/35 AC Generation System 7/90 TX

Applicability: All Aerospatiale AS 355E, F, F1, F2 and N series helicopters equipped with dual AC generation systems delivered before 5 April 1990.

 

Requirement: Ensure correct operation of the AC power system in accordance with work card No 24.22.04.501 (updated 83.31).

 

Note: Aerospatiale Service Telex 01.29 refers.

 

Compliance: 1. Prior to the next flight scheduled under IFR conditions, or

 

2.    For aircraft operated under VFR conditions, prior to 100 hours time in service after 2 May 1990.

 

3.    If a printed circuit board 3 x 1 or 3 x 2 is to be fitted as a replacement part and does not bear the inspection stamp: SS 235, prior to fitment.

 

Background:  Aerospatiale has advised that due to a diode mounting fault on printed circuit boards 3 x 1 and 3 x 2, the potential exists for a total loss of AC power.
