SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/ARRIUS/2 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Fuel Injection Manifold Replacement 1/2003

 

Applicability: Arrius 2B and 2B1 engines

 

Requirement: Replace the fuel manifolds in accordance with Turbomeca Alert Service Bulletin A319 73 2012 Update 5.

 

Note: DGAC AD 1999-217(A) refers.

 

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, in accordance with the requirement document, except where a power check, conducted according to the aircraft flight manual, shows a negative TOT margin, in which case, the fuel manifold must be replaced before further flight.

 

This Amendment becomes effective on 23 January 2003.

Background: This Amendment is in response to the manufacturer releasing updated information.

This Directive was issued to require the initial replacement of fuel injection manifolds and subsequent replacement of fuel injection manifolds found to be defective at the 200 hourly power checks. The requirement reflects advice of blockage of the manifolds may lead to engine flameout during rapid deceleration.

 

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 2 December 1999.
