Amdt 1

Fuel Injection Manifold Replacement 12/2004

TX

Applicability: Arrius 2F engines.

Requirement: Replace the fuel manifolds and carry out repetitive power check in accordance with the procedures of Turbomeca Alert Service Bulletin Number A319 73 4001 Update 3 or later updates as approved by the French DGAC.

Note: DGAC AD 1999-233(A) refers.

Compliance: As detailed in the requirement document or later approved DGAC updates.

This Amendment becomes effective on 15 October 2004.

Background: This directive was issued requiring the initial replacement of fuel injection manifolds and subsequent replacement of fuel injection manifolds found to be defective at the 200 hourly power checks. The requirement reflects advice of blockage of the manifolds that may lead to engine flameout during rapid deceleration.

This Amendment is issued to reflect that later revisions of the original reference document may be used.

The original issue of this Directive became effective on 2 December 1999.

James Coyne

Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority 14 October 2004

The above AD is notified in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette on 15 October 2004.
