SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

 


AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE


For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/ARRIEL/14 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Centrifugal Impeller 6/2002

 

 

Applicability: All Arriel 1D,1D1,1S, and 1S1 not incorporating Mod TU300 and Mod TU316A.

 

Requirement: 1. Carry out Mod TU300; installation of a sleeve in the bleed valve boss as described in Turbomeca Service Bulletin (SB) No. 292 72 0261; and

 

2. Carry out Mod TU316A; bonding of sleeve as described in Turbomeca SB No. 292 72 0275 Update 2

 

Note: DGAC AD 2002-126(A) refers.

 

Compliance: Unless previously accomplished; within 100 hours time in service or prior to 31 July 2002, whichever occurs first.

 

This amendment becomes effective on 13 June 2002.

 

Background: This Directive was originally issued to require the installation of a sleeve into the bleed valve boss. In service experience has shown the necessity to bond the sleeve in the bleed valve boss. This amendment mandates the incorporation of Mod TU316A to engines incorporating Mod TU300.

 

The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 30 December 1999.
