AD/AMD 20/30 Extinguishing Pipe in the Engine Area 13/2003

TX

Applicability: Falcon 200 aircraft not incorporating Dassault Aviation Service Bulletin F200-A120.

Requirement: Inspect the left and right engine fire protection systems for evidence of 6 extinguisher discharge holes in each of the fire extinguisher pipes part numbers (P/N) MY2079101GO2 and MY2079103GO2.

Note: DGAC Emergency Airworthiness Directive U F-2003-419(B) refers.

Compliance: Effective 14 November 2003; before further flight.

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 14 November 2003.

Background: This Directive has been issued in response to a report of a defective fire extinguisher discharge pipe being found during aircraft maintenance. The pipe did not have any of the 6 discharge holes drilled. In the event of an engine fire, the fire protection system would have been ineffective.
