AD/AMD 20/19 MLG Door Rear Lock Control Lever Stop 9/87

Applicability: Models with S/No’s as listed in AMD-BA S.B. FJF-502. Requirement:  Action in accordance with AMD-BA Service Bulletin FJF-502.

Note: Bureau Veritas AD 87-077-018(B) refers.

 

Compliance: Prior to 31 October 1987.

 

Background: A report was received of the rupture in flight of the synchronising teleforce cable that interconnects the front and rear lateral door locks. If this cable breaks the rear door lock may jam when the emergency manual control is operated, and the landing gear will not extend.
