Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/A320/86 Toilet Systems - Rinse Valve Replacement 1/98

Applicability: Airbus Industrie A320 aircraft having toilet systems equipped with Monogram Rinse Valve Part Number (PN) 15800-348, Revision C, and which have not had Airbus Industrie Modification 26145 or Service Bulletin A320-38-1049 embodied.

 

Note: DGAC 97-269-103(B) dated October 04, 1997, refers.

 

Requirement: Replace all Monogram rinse valves PN 15800-348, Rev C, installed on toilet(s) in accordance with Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-38-1049 dated 22 Jan 97.

 

Compliance: Within 12 months of the effective date of this directive.

 

This airworthiness directive becomes effective on 1 January 1998.

 

Background: Leakage of water from the forward toilet system due to a faulty rinse valve can cause fluid contamination of the aircraft’s avionics bays.
