Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/A320/77 Loral DFDR F800 Damping Rack Installation 2/97

Applicability: All A320 and A321 series aeroplanes, equipped with a Loral Data Systems Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) F800, without Airbus Industrie modification 24959 or Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin (SB) A320-31-1088 Revision 2 dated 16 September 1996.

 

Requirement: Install a DFDR rack incorporating improved damping and reroute the cable harness in accordance with Airbus Industrie SB A320-31-1088 Revision 2 dated 16 September 1996.

 

Note: DGAC AD 96-272-098(B) refers.

 

Compliance: Prior to 31 July 1998.

 

This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 30 January 1997.

 

Background:  Airbus Industrie advises that under certain flight conditions the DFDR may not record all necessary data correctly. Action specified by this Directive are designed to rectify this discrepancy.
