Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/A320/71 Slide/Slide Raft Release Cable 13/96

Applicability: All models with MSNs up to and including 563, but excluding MSNs 364, 385, 514, 542, 543, 546, 551, 556.

 

Requirement: Action in accordance with Airbus Industrie AOT 25-12 Rev 1.

 

Note 1: DGAC AD 96-171-083(B) refers.

 

Note 2: Additional work will be necessary further to any previous work carried out in accordance with the initial issue of the Requirement document.

Compliance: Unless already accomplished, within 500 hours time in service after 16 October 1996. Background:              This Directive is issued to prevent any possible risk of non deployment of doors 1 and

4 LH and RH due to an inoperative release cable. Failure of a slide to operate has

been traced to a cable attachment ball nipple that separated from the cable due to a production error.
