Airbus Industrie A319, A320 and A321 Series Aeroplanes

 

AD/A320/40 Centre Fuselage - Belly Reinforcement 9/94

Applicability: All A320 aircraft, serial numbers 3 to 92 inclusive.

 

Requirement: Replace the angle brackets and shear plates between the keel beam and RH and LH belly-fairing support frames in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions of Airbus Industrie Service Bulletin A320-53-1014.

 

Note: DGAC AD 92-201-030(B) refers.

 

Compliance: Before 12000 flights.

 

This AD is effective from 18 August 1994.

 

Background: The manufacturer’s fatigue test has revealed damage in the area of the keel beam and belly-fairing support frames as early as 6000 simulated flights.
